Metamorphosis(Meta) is based on the belief that we all have an amazing power within us to change things (physical, mental and emotional things); we call this power Consciousness. 

By tuning into Consciousness you will change your life for the better, this process is called Creation because we are creating a better version of ourselves. Meta will also help you to  live in and appreciate the now. Just try it and see

    All you need for Meta to succeed is a willingness to change .

METAMORPHOSIS IN ONE SENTENCE : BE OPEN TO CHANGE, DO A SYMBOL, MOVE INTO ACTION

Robert St. John the founder of Meta said that it is quite difficult to  'tune in'  using the mind, so we need a symbol - something to do to tune in.  

3)Touch a point on your body with a finger, this point is a symbol for the first cell from which you came

4)Place your hand on or above your head, feet or hands and hold for a while

5)Take a deep breath while thinking the word creation (if you haven't much time and need a quick fix)

6) After you become familiar with tuning in perhaps you will  find your own new way of tuning in there are no rules

You are not creating something that is outside of yourself you are opening yourself to the power within. Pick the way that you are most attracted to and stick with that for a while, you can always try the others then and see which works best for you. . 

So why not start now, perhaps decide to set aside a little time each day, even 5/10 mins, to do Meta (you don't have to meditate/concentrate because this  tuning in is not an intellectual thing it's more of a gut feeling kind of thing) If you don't have time  just do it while watching TV, or whatever. Be open to change and have  the intention of healing yourself. (it is  better not to have a specific thing in mind). 

  When you start Meta you will need to give it a chance as it sometimes works slowly and it is only when you look back that you realise that things have changed, sometimes however it changes things incredibly quickly (often if you are dealing with an acute situation).

  By doing Meta  you will become your own guide and guru, it will create an awareness in you of  what is best for you   whether it is to go into some type of action or  to slow down in some way,  you will move into creative action and your life will become better mentally, physically and emotionally. By tuning in you are also helping to eliminate deep seated underlying stress patterns/blocks, these blocks are what caused all our problems in the first place You don't need to understand the philosophy behind it JUST DO IT and see what happens, The one thing you do need is to BE OPEN TO CHANGE. If you tune in you must then try to do what your awareness is telling you to do. Sometimes your intellect/brain will try to tell you that what your awareness is telling you is ridiculous, just ignore it and have the courage to follow your awareness. Don't worry if you realise that you've been going down the wrong road for a while, if you're tuning in you'll realise soon enough .If you feel that you just don't have the energy to do what your awareness is telling you to, go to the page on Afference and Efference and read about afferently orientated people.

 Robert always said that all energy is created out of

a) the will to go into action

b) the action itself

so just decide that you are going to do it which will give you some of the energy you need, then begin the action which will give you the rest

METAMORPHOSIS WILL HELP YOU TO LET GO OF THE PAST, AND THE FEAR OF THE FUTURE, AND TO LIVE IN THE NOW

HOW LONG DO I DO IT FOR ?

Hold for a few seconds or much longer whatever feels right at the time, this will tune you into consciousness(your own inner guiding principle) and should show you where to go next with your life. Many people like to tune in on waking in the morning to get the day off to a good start and then throughout the day as needed, Robert the founder always liked to tune in at night before going to sleep and many people find this a good time when there is no pressure of doing and going

HOW OFTEN CAN I DO IT ?

You can 'tune in' as often as you like it's not just for big things, it's to help you to respond creatively to every minute of every day. It should help you to let go of the past and the future and to live in and enjoy the NOW

WHY METAMORPHOSIS ?

Meta doesn't mean we won't have any more problems but it does mean we will be able to deal more creatively with them and so improve our lives; with Meta you don't have to be afraid of the madness in your head or the force of your emotions or the hopelessness of your situation. You don't need to look for ways of coping or calming; Meta enables you to accept yourself in the moment with all your issues and empowers you to go into creative action

HOW WILL IT WORK ?

You cannot just sit at home doing your hands and expect all your problems to resolve themselves (some of us have tried this in the past!) you can have all the awareness in the world but if you don't move into creative action nothing will happen. Meta works by 'tuning in' and then moving into creative action; ( this does not always mean 'doing' sometimes creative action could be to rest more or slow down in some way or even give up doing something) Intention is very important in Meta, if you are only open to changing a little bit then that is the most that can happen, if you are open to change on all levels there are no limits

CAN I TUNE INTO CONSCIOUSNESS WITHOUT METAMORPHOSIS ?

Of course one can tune into 'Consciousness' without Meta and everyone will have done so at some time (other philosophies have different ways of doing it) but it is so abstract and all the 'stuff' in our brains makes it hard to'tune in' using the intellect so Robert observed that using a symbol is the easiest and most effective way to 'tune in', it bypasses all that stuff  and takes one straight to 'Consciousness'

TAKE RESPONSIBILITY

Robert said that one of the most important aspects of Meta and one that's often unpopular is the attitude of taking responsibility for ones own life, he said that there's an attitude out there that it's a terrible world and that I'm just a helpless victim who can't do anything about it, but ultimately that's not true you are responsible for where you are now and even if bad things have happened in the past, you have the power within especially with Metamorphosis to do something about it. He also said  not to blame other people for your problems, change yourself and other people/things will change in response to that.

METAMORPHOSIS AND CHILDREN

As a general rule it is not a good idea to do Meta on behalf of someone else but in the case of a baby or a very small child it is ok for the parent/guardian to do it for them ( if the parent is doing Meta for her/himself that in itself will help the child) When  children are old enough to do Meta for themselves, they must be given the choice of doing it or not

IS IT AS EASY AS IT SOUNDS ?

Tuning into 'Consciouisness' by using the symbol(s) above is easy and as a tool to help you adapt to the ever changing moment it's fantastic; sometimes however the awareness that comes with 'tuning in' can be challenging, little by little you will begin to see yourself clearly and it may not be a pretty picture, for example you may become aware of how pathetic you are in some way, or perhaps the opposite you realise that you're too pushy, this can be very disturbing, but there's no need to panic, or try to force change by sheer force of will, or to beat yourself up about the way you are; keep 'tuning in' and doing what consciousness is telling you to and change will come about naturally in it's own time. Of course some people have always been able to see themselves and their problems clearly but have lacked the energy to do anything about it and this is the other big challenge of Meta - when you tune in and become aware you must then move into action and do something about it, and this can be very hard especially with emotional stuff, the trick is to try not to look into the future  to see where this is going to take you, but to do what you feel needs to be done for now, this is especially helpful if for instance you have to stand up to someone, (perhaps for the first time ever) don't obsess about where this is going to go just do what you feel you should and let the future take care of itself. If you don't do what 'Consciousness' is telling you to, you will become more and more uncomfortable or even sick so it's better to just do it. Luckily 'Consciousness' won't throw all our stuff at us at once because we just couldn't cope, it's a gradual process

 

  ENJOY YOUR LIFE !!!!!!!

Robert St. John always said that it's very important to enjoy life, so,  have a laugh  or a few drinks , or your favourite food, or climb a mountain, or watch your favourite TV programme,  whatever makes you happy; forget the "should" and the "ought" as long as you're not doing actual harm to yourself or others it's fine ( if you do ever find yourself being sucked into very destructive behaviour just do your Creation Hand Symbol to help you not to enter into it, we're not talking about having a few too many drinks here we mean really destructive behaviour)

BE NICE TO YOURSELF

You are a precious being so treat yourself as such, try not to abuse your body and brain by overworking them or neglecting them e.g lifting things that you know are too heavy for you, working far into the night, not bothering to eat etc etc, this does not mean that you should sit at home doing nothing, it simply means getting a balance and Meta will help you achieve this. Very often people who are Efferently orientated (see page on Afference and Efference) abuse themselves by overworking  and those who are Afferently orientated abuse themselves by neglect. Eat well, treat yourself well and do things you enjoy, if you want to exercise pick something that you actually enjoy while you're doing it, not something that you feel you must do in order to get fit, Robert said that the exercise you enjoy is the right one for you.

USING LIGHT

Robert St. John often used light as a tool to help him live his life, if you are scared, or facing a very difficult situation, as well as tuning in, use light, simply visualise yourself (or your family ,car, house etc.) surrounded by light. Robert once famously saved his house in Australia from a forest fire by surrounding it with light, all the other houses in the vicinity were burned.


   GOING TO A PRACTITIONER

The whole idea of this website is to tell people that they can do it for themselves, however if you feel that you would  like to go to a practitioner, there is a list  on the practitioner page, if you can't find one in your area (they're not all on the list) email gthanner@hotmail.com and she will try to find you one. Be aware that a practitioner should support you and show you what to do but their eventual aim should be that you do it yourself. The whole idea of Meta is that you heal yourself; even if you attend a practitioner it's you who are healing you, the practitioner is just showing you or helping you to trigger the power within.

 HOW CAN METAMORPHOSIS          CHANGE THE WORLD ?

Robert the founder said that if you tune in and start to live your life more creatively this will effect many, many people in a kind of ripple effect,  and also as more people tune in this will have  a cosmic effect. All our troubles personally and globally come from what Robert called The Separation of AFFERENCE and EFFERENCE (see relevant pages on this website) and as this situation is now changing we are moving towards a more creative way of being, this is one of the reasons the world is in such a state of chaos at the moment; as Robert said it's a schizophrenic situation all the old structures are beginning to break down but the new more creative way of being has not yet been established.It is important to note that the most important thing you have to do is to deal with your own issues it is not creative to try to deal with other issues unless you are paying attention to your own 'stuff' first and foremost (this means you and your primary relationships)
